Getting Started with Halo

This guide walks you through downloading Halo, creating your account, and setting up the app for the first time.

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Search for “Halo by Aether
  3. Tap Get to download
  4. Open the app when installation completes

Requirements: iOS 15.0 or later

  1. Open Halo

    Launch the app and tap Get Started.

  2. Enter Your Email

    Type your email address. This will be your login and how doctors can find you.

  3. Create a Password

    Choose a strong password with at least 8 characters, including a number and special character.

  4. Enter Your Information

    Provide your:

    • Full name (as it appears on medical records)
    • Date of birth
    • Phone number (optional, for account recovery)
  5. Verify Your Email

    Check your email for a verification link. Tap it to confirm your account.

  6. Set Up Biometric Login (Optional)

    Enable Face ID or Touch ID for quick, secure access.

After creating your account, you’ll see the Home screen with your health dashboard: a personalized greeting, summary cards for conditions, medications, allergies, and labs, a recent activity timeline, and quick access to all record types. New accounts show helpful prompts to add records and connect with doctors.

You can add health records in two ways:

  1. Go to the Records tab
  2. Tap the section you want to add (e.g., Medications)
  3. Tap the + button
  4. Fill in the details
  5. Tap Save

Customize your experience in the Profile tab: update Personal Info (name, DOB, phone), choose your Appearance theme, control Notifications, and manage Privacy & Security settings.

Biometric login: Go to Profile → Privacy & Security and toggle Face ID or Touch ID on for quick, secure access. Keep your password safe—you’ll need it to recover your account or log in on a new device.

If your doctor uses Aether, they may send you an invitation:

  1. Check your email for an invitation from your doctor
  2. Tap the link in the email to open Halo
  3. Review the invitation showing the doctor’s name and practice
  4. Tap Accept to connect
  5. The doctor now appears in your Doctors tab

The bottom tabs take you to Home (dashboard), Records (health data), Doctors (connected providers), Messages (secure conversations), and Profile (settings).

Tips: Pull down to refresh any screen, tap cards for details, swipe left for quick actions, and tap + to add new records.

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify your email address is correct
  • Make sure password meets requirements (8+ chars, number, special char)
  • Try a different email if one is already registered
