Getting Started with Halo
This guide walks you through downloading Halo, creating your account, and setting up the app for the first time.
Download the App
Section titled “Download the App”- Open the App Store on your iPhone
- Search for “Halo by Aether”
- Tap Get to download
- Open the app when installation completes
Requirements: iOS 15.0 or later
- Open the Google Play Store
- Search for “Halo by Aether”
- Tap Install
- Open the app when installation completes
Requirements: Android 10 or later
Create Your Account
Section titled “Create Your Account”-
Open Halo
Launch the app and tap Get Started.

Enter Your Email
Type your email address. This will be your login and how doctors can find you.

Create a Password
Choose a strong password with at least 8 characters, including a number and special character.

Enter Your Information
Provide your:
- Full name (as it appears on medical records)
- Date of birth
- Phone number (optional, for account recovery)

Verify Your Email
Check your email for a verification link. Tap it to confirm your account.

Set Up Biometric Login (Optional)
Enable Face ID or Touch ID for quick, secure access.
Your First Look at Halo
Section titled “Your First Look at Halo”After creating your account, you’ll see the Home screen. Here’s what you’ll find:
Home Tab
Section titled “Home Tab”Your health dashboard showing:
- A personalized greeting
- Summary cards for conditions, medications, allergies, and labs
- Recent activity timeline
- Quick access to all record types
Empty State
Section titled “Empty State”If this is a new account, you’ll see helpful prompts to:
- Add your first health records
- Connect with a doctor
- Explore the app features
Adding Your First Records
Section titled “Adding Your First Records”You can add health records in two ways:
- Go to the Records tab
- Tap the section you want to add (e.g., Medications)
- Tap the + button
- Fill in the details
- Tap Save
When you connect with a doctor, they can sync your records from their EHR system:
- Accept the doctor’s invitation
- Records sync automatically
- View synced data in the Records tab
Setting Up Your Profile
Section titled “Setting Up Your Profile”Customize your experience in the Profile tab:

| Personal Info | Update your name, DOB, phone, gender |
| Appearance | Choose Light, Dark, or System theme |
| Notifications | Control which alerts you receive |
| Privacy & Security | Manage biometric login and app lock |
| Help & Support | Access help resources and contact support |
Enable Biometric Login
Section titled “Enable Biometric Login”For quick, secure access:
- Go to Profile → Privacy & Security
- Toggle Face ID or Touch ID on
- Authenticate to confirm
- Next time, unlock with your face or fingerprint
Accepting a Doctor Invitation
Section titled “Accepting a Doctor Invitation”If your doctor uses Aether, they may send you an invitation:
- Check your email for an invitation from your doctor
- Tap the link in the email to open Halo
- Review the invitation showing the doctor’s name and practice
- Tap Accept to connect
- The doctor now appears in your Doctors tab
Navigating the App
Section titled “Navigating the App”Bottom Tabs

Common Actions
Section titled “Common Actions”- Pull down to refresh any screen
- Tap a card to see more details
- Swipe left on list items for quick actions
- Tap + to add new records
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Check your internet connection
- Verify your email address is correct
- Make sure password meets requirements (8+ chars, number, special char)
- Try a different email if one is already registered
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Tap “Resend verification” in the app
- Make sure you entered the correct email
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- Ensure Face ID/Touch ID is set up in your phone settings
- Go to Profile → Privacy & Security and re-enable
- Restart the app and try again
