Daily Tasks

The Daily Tasks feature provides a prioritized worklist generated each morning, helping you focus on the patients who need attention most.

Every day at 6 AM, the Hub analyzes your patient panel and generates a task list based on:

  • Care gaps — Missing screenings, overdue preventive care
  • Unanswered messages — Patient messages waiting for your response
  • Abnormal lab results — Recent labs flagged as abnormal or critical
  • Care plan deadlines — Goals with approaching target dates
  • Overdue reviews — Care plans that need periodic review

Tasks are automatically prioritized so the most urgent items appear first.

  1. Sign in to the Hub at hub.aether.inc
  2. Click “Tasks” in the left sidebar
  3. Your daily task list appears with priority badges

You’ll also receive an email digest each morning summarizing your tasks.

Tasks are assigned one of four priority levels:

PriorityBadgeMeaning
CriticalRedRequires immediate attention (e.g., critical lab values, messages unanswered 48+ hours)
HighOrangeShould be addressed today (e.g., overdue care gaps, messages unanswered 24+ hours)
MediumYellowAddress when possible (e.g., approaching deadlines, recent abnormal labs)
LowGreenRoutine follow-up

When a patient is missing recommended preventive care (e.g., flu shot, cancer screening), a task is created to address the gap. Click the task to open the patient’s detail view.

If a patient has sent you a message and hasn’t received a reply, a task reminds you to respond. Priority escalates based on how long the message has been waiting:

  • Under 24 hours: Medium
  • 24-48 hours: High
  • Over 48 hours: Critical

Recent abnormal or critical lab results generate tasks for physician review. Labs flagged as “critical” by the lab create Critical-priority tasks.

Tasks are created when:

  • A care plan’s review date has passed
  • A goal’s target date is approaching (within 7 days)
  1. Review the task — Click a task card to see details
  2. Take action — The task opens the relevant patient view or message thread
  3. Mark complete — Click the checkmark to mark the task as done
  4. Skip if needed — Click “Skip” if the task isn’t applicable

Completed and skipped tasks move to a separate section so you can track your progress.

At the top of your task list, you’ll see a summary including:

  • Total number of tasks
  • Critical and high-priority counts
  • AI-generated summary of what needs attention

The email digest includes the same summary to help you plan your day before you even open the Hub.

If you want to refresh your task list during the day:

  1. Click the “Regenerate” button at the top of the task list
  2. The system will re-analyze your patients and create an updated list
  3. Tasks you’ve already completed remain marked as complete

You can customize how you receive task notifications:

  1. Go to Settings in the Hub
  2. Under Notifications, toggle:
    • Daily email digest — Morning summary email
    • Critical task alerts — Immediate alerts for critical items
