Getting Started with Hub
This guide will walk you through setting up the Aether Hub and viewing your first patient data.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Google Workspace account (your work email)
- Google Chrome browser installed
- The Cleo browser extension installed (installation guide)
Step-by-Step Setup
Section titled “Step-by-Step Setup”-
Open the Hub
Navigate to hub.aether.inc in Google Chrome.

Sign In with Google
Click the “Sign in with Google” button and select your work Google account. This must be the same account you used to sign into the Cleo extension.

Verify Extension Connection
After signing in, look for the connection status indicator in the top right corner:
- Green dot = Extension connected
- Yellow dot = Extension detected but not signed in
- Red dot = Extension not detected

Open Your EHR
In a new browser tab, navigate to your EHR system (Epic, Cerner, etc.) and log in as you normally would.

Navigate to a Patient Chart
Open a patient’s chart in your EHR. The Cleo extension will automatically extract the patient data.

View in Hub
Switch back to the Hub tab. You should see the patient appear in your patient list within a few seconds.
Understanding the Hub Interface
Section titled “Understanding the Hub Interface”Patient List
Section titled “Patient List”The main view shows all patients whose data has been extracted:
- Patient Cards: Each card displays the patient’s name, age, gender, risk level, and key alerts
- Risk Badges: Color-coded indicators (Critical, High, Medium, Low)
- Alert Counts: Number of clinical alerts and care gaps
Filtering and Sorting
Section titled “Filtering and Sorting”Use the controls at the top of the patient list to:

| Search | Filter by patient name or MRN |
| Sort | Risk level, Name, Last updated, Most alerts, Most care gaps |
| View | Grid or List layout |
Patient Detail View
Section titled “Patient Detail View”Click on a patient card to open the detail view with:
- Demographics: Full patient information
- Medications: Current and past medications
- Conditions: Active diagnoses with ICD-10 codes
- Allergies: Known allergies and sensitivities
- Lab Results: Recent labs with normal/abnormal indicators
- Vitals: Latest vital signs
- Findings: AI-extracted clinical insights
- Care Gaps: Preventive care recommendations
Inviting a Patient
Section titled “Inviting a Patient”To connect with a patient and enable secure messaging:
- Open the patient’s detail view
- Click the “Invite to Halo” button
- Enter the patient’s email address
- Click “Send Invitation”
The patient will receive an email with instructions to download the Halo app and accept your connection request.
Refreshing Patient Data
Section titled “Refreshing Patient Data”Patient data automatically syncs when you view a chart in your EHR. To manually refresh:
- Single Patient: Click the refresh icon on the patient card
- All Patients: Click “Refresh All” in the header
- High-Risk Only: Click “Refresh Critical & High” for priority updates
Real-Time Updates
Section titled “Real-Time Updates”The Hub maintains a live connection to receive updates:
- Green pulse: Real-time connection active
- When patient data changes, cards update automatically
- New patients appear without needing to refresh the page
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Verify the extension is connected (green indicator)
- Make sure you’re signed into the Hub and extension with the same Google account
- Navigate to a patient chart in your EHR
- Wait 5-10 seconds for data to sync
- Click the Cleo extension icon in Chrome
- Sign in with your Google account
- Refresh the Hub page
- Check that the extension popup shows “Connected”
- Click the refresh button on the patient card
- Or navigate to the patient’s chart in your EHR again
- The extension will re-extract and sync the latest data
